David Harold Eastman; (Aftermath 15; Inquiry report); "Directions" hearing to be held today - Tuesday June 10, 2014 - to determine how the three judges will approach Judge Brian Martin's recommendation that the murder charge should be quashed and David Eastman pardonned. ABC News.

STORY: "Directions hearing set for Eastman inquiry," by reporter Elizabeth Byrne, published by ABC News on June 5, 2014.

GIST: "The inquiry by Justice Brian Martin found David Harold Eastman did not get a fair trial when he was convicted of killing Australian Federal Police assistant commissioner Colin Winchester and called for the conviction to be quashed. It is the first time an inquiry has been held under the act and the three judges will seek advice on the nature of their jurisdiction. They will also ask if any parties want to make submissions and whether they should convene a hearing on what orders they should make. The directions have been set down for Tuesday."
