GIST: "Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s Office on Friday agreed to submit some evidence in the Hank Skinner capital murder case for DNA testing, ending a decade-long battle with Skinner’s defense attorneys over whether some items from the scene of a triple homicide should be scientifically examined. In November, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals halted Skinner’s execution to consider how changes to state law affected his requests for new DNA tests that he says will exonerate him."
