Bulletin: Kelli Jacobsen: (Nanny); Washington State; Jury Deliberations are underway in her manslaughter trial. NBC. (KNDO/KNDU);

 STORY:  "Jury deliberations underway in nanny manslaughter trial," published by NBC (KNDO/KNDU)  on May 7, 2013.

GIST:  ""Ryder was abused and Ryder was killed as a result of a reckless act," says Benton County Prosecutor Andy Miller.  "It is your job to listen to all of the evidence and let Ryder's injuries speak for themselves." Defense attorneys say the state has not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Jacobsen is guilty of aggravated manslaughter. "If you have one reasonable doubt in this case that Kelli did not commit what the state has charged her with, then the law says you must find her not guilty," says Defense Attorney Scott Johnson.  "You don't need two doubts, you don't need 50 doubts." The jurors must unanimously agree on a verdict. Jury deliberations will continue tomorrow."
