Doug Prade: Ohio; His bewildering journey through custody and freedom: Dubious bite mark case; In prison 15 years for murdering his wife. Released from prison after judge ruled that results of new DNA tests were "clear and convincing." Returned to prison by appeal court. (Not so convinced!) And now (March 20, 2014) he has been once again released pending his appeal; 19 Action News;

"Story: Convicted wife killer Doug Prade out of jail; Ohio Supreme Court to rule," published by 18 Action News on March 20, 2014.

GIST: "The convicted wife killer was released from the Summit County Jail on Thursday, March 20, 2014, after being taken back into custody following a status hearing in Summit County Common Pleas Court. He spent 15-years in prison, for the murder of his wife, before being released by a judge, a year ago. To a flurry of camera clicks Prade came to court, his freedom stripped by the appeals court. The only questions were would he go back to prison or get a bond while he appealed. Judge Christine Coce said, "I believe their opinion specifically then reinstates Mr. Prade's prior conviction for aggravated murder therefore he will be taken into custody." With that the family of Dr. Margo Prade heard the sound they've been waiting to hear for a year. But, after a Supreme Court stay a few hours later, the cuffs came off and Prade was again released while his appeals go on.........Prade's conviction was in part due to a bite mark on Margo's arm when she died. The tooth pattern matched that of Prade's ill fitting dentures. His release is only until his appeal is over."
