JAMES CARPENTER; HOUSTON, TEXAS; JURY BEGINS DELIBERATIONS IN CASE OF FORMER HOUSTON POLICE CRIME LAB TECHNICIAN; KHOU.COM REPORTS.

"The fate of a former Houston crime lab technician is now in the hands of a jury. Jurors have started deliberating in the trial against James Carpenter.

After Carpenter’s indictment, evidence from more than 200 cases had to be retested.

Authorities said Carpenter not only tampered with evidence, but stole cocaine, heroin and xanax from the crime lab."
