CASEY ANTHONY; HER LAWYER ASSAILS WHAT HE LABELS, "THE STATE'S FANTASY OF FORENSICS." THE ORLANDO SENTINEL;
"This afternoon Baez resumed with the next phase of his argument that he labeled the state's "fantasy of forensics."
He attacked the scientific evidence especially linked to Casey Anthony's Pontiac Sunfire, which the state said once held Caylee's decomposing body. He also accused the prosecution of wanting to win at all costs, without a sincere effort to get the truth.
"Are they giving you everything you need when someone's life hangs in the balance," Baez asked.
He has moved on to attack the computer forensic evidence used in the case to confirm "chloroform" computer searches on the Anthony computer.
Before the break, Baez raised questions about people who did not smell the stench of death in Casey's car."

"Defense attorney Jose Baez is more than two-hours into closing arguments this afternoon, delivering a final plea to the jury that will soon begin deliberating the fate of his client, child murder suspect Casey Anthony," the Orlando Sentinel story by reporters Anthony Colarossi and Bianca Prieto published earlier today begins.
"He has a limit of four hours for closing arguments," the story continues.
"This afternoon Baez has attacked several points in the state's case in the phase that he labeled the state's "fantasy of forensics."
He tried sto poke holes in the states evidence including the computer forensic science, the autopsy, and at one point called the state's work a "fraud. This is trying to pull a fast one."
Baez has moved on to talk about the defense case, using a large poster board labeled "Casey's Imaginary Friends" to demonstrate his client's lies.
In the center is a photo Casey Anthony, surrounded by faceless drawings of all of the imaginary characters she made up including the fictitious baby-sitter, "Zanny the Nanny."
This morning, Baez addressed the jury for roughly 38 minutes before court recessed for an extended two-hour lunch. Chief Judge Belvin Perry has allowed the state and defense four-hours each to deliver closing arguments.
Just prior to court resuming this afternoon, Baez asked Perry to remind Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton not to make any facial expressions during closing arguments.
Perry responded by reminding everyone of the court order that prohibits facial expressions and gestures.
"We don't need any facial expressions approving or disapproving or anything else," Perry said.
A wall of demonstrative aids is before the jury, blocking some of them from seeing Casey Anthony or her reaction to Baez's words.
Earlier today Baez's arguments were remarkably different than his bombshell openings.
This morning he asked repeatedly, "What happened to Caylee?"
But this question is much different than his proclamation to the jury on May 24 that Caylee Marie Anthony accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool.
This afternoon Baez resumed with the next phase of his argument that he labeled the state's "fantasy of forensics."
