Giving evidence yesterday after the CCTV footage was shown to the jury, Mr Greenwood said 36-year-old Gray appeared “anxious” and said: “Can you take me? My child's really ill.” CCTV: Jennie Gray rushes to hail a cab from her offices near to the Old Bailey (Metropolitan Police) During the £50 journey, the couple exchanged calls lasting a matter of seconds. Mr Greenwood told the court he overheard her on her mobile phone in the taxi saying loudly "You have done what?", "You have gone where?" and "You're joking". Ben Butler denies murder, while he and Jennie Gray, pictured, both deny child cruelty He said she appeared "slightly agitated” and “wanted to get to her destination". Prosecutors allege that once Gray arrived home, she helped Butler to stage a fall to make Ellie’s injuries – including a fractured skull - appear accidental. ........Butler denies murder, while he and Gray both deny child cruelty."
