COMMENTARY: "The truth is sometimes inconvenient," by Jim Delmore, published by The Post Register on March 31 2017.
GIST: "Inconvenient
truths here in our city, and in the world at large, have caused people
to bury their heads further into the sand, writes Jim Delmore. The recent news has been full of people denying inconvenient truths at the local, state and federal levels. The most recent local example is the release of Chris Tapp while
leaving him with a murder conviction on his record and with no recourse
to recover any money for the 20 years he spent behind bars. The inconvenient truth is that he was convicted due to a false
confession extracted under threat of execution. It would be very
embarrassing to own up to this fact. It would also be inconvenient to
have to pay a settlement for 20 years behind bars."

PUBLISHER'S NOTE: I am monitoring this case/issue. Keep your eye on the Charles Smith Blog for reports on developments. The Toronto Star, my previous employer for more than twenty incredible years, has put considerable effort into exposing the harm caused by Dr. Charles Smith and his protectors - and into pushing for reform of Ontario's forensic pediatric pathology system. The Star has a "topic" section which focuses on recent stories related to Dr. Charles Smith. It can be found at: http://www.thestar.com/topic/
