New post following seasonal break: David Bain; New Zealand; Pathologist's certainty that there were no cuts on Robin Bain's hands when he died bolster defence claims that Robin Bain pulled the trigger. 3 News.

STORY: "No cuts on Robin Bain's thumb - pathologist," by reporter Thomas Mead, published by  3  News on August 30, 2013.

GIST: "The pathologist who originally examined Robin Bain's body has assured the man did not have any cuts on his hands when he died. Dr Alexander Dempster's comments come in response to a 3rd Degree investigation in June, which claimed a photo of Robin's hand showed small marks on his thumb and forefinger. The twin lines could have been left by gun residue, pointing to Robin as the man behind the trigger that killed his two daughters, wife and son."
