Susan Neill-Fraser: Australia: Commentator Andrew L. Urban, confronts a justice system - the Tasmanian criminal justice system - doomed to be swamped in disrepute for callously ignoring the DNA..."Confessing that she was an eye witness to the murder (8.30pm, Sunday, March 10, 2019, Channel Nine) which did not involve Sue Neill-Fraser, Meaghan Vass proves what so many have been saying, writing and thinking for years: this is a dreadful, wrongful conviction."

PASSAGE OF THE DAY: "In denial for a decade about the validity of a stranger’s DNA at the crime scene, the police and the DPP insisted the murderer was Neill-Fraser … the DNA meant nothing. But now they see their case crumble publicly and people are none too happy with the job they have done. Just read what is being said about them."

PUBLISHER'S NOTE:  As I  have previously noted, Andrew L.  Urban has dug deeply into the Neill-Fraser case - which means that he has a voice that is worth listening to.  His message, in light of the Sixty Minutes Australia documentary aired earlier today is  that not only has Susan Neill-Fraser been battered by a wrongful conviction - but Tasmania's legal system is taking a battering of its own, as  the public learns the insidious facts of the role played by the Tasmanian government in the case. As Urban puts it in a post on his Blog "Wrongful Convictions Report,  "Tasmanian Justice System self-harmed, dated March 10, 2019: "Tasmania’s justice system is taking a battering all of its own making as the truth bubbles to the surface in the much debated and badly miscarried Sue Neill-Fraser case. In denial for a decade about the validity of a stranger’s DNA at the crime scene, the police and the DPP insisted the murderer was Neill-Fraser … the DNA meant nothing. But now they see their case crumble publicly and people are none too happy with the job they have done. Just read what is being said about them. Confessing that she was an eye witness to the murder (8.30pm, Sunday, March 10, 2019, Channel Nine) which did not involve Sue Neill-Fraser, Meaghan Vass proves what so many have been saying, writing and thinking for years: this is a dreadful, wrongful conviction." Urban includes the reactions of  some of his readers in this post. They are worth reading at the link below.  One common strand: There has been a disgraceful cover-up. An innocent woman has been behind bars for years. Only quick, visible  governmental action can remove the stench.
