George Souliotes: (2): Arson Research Project sees decision to allow appeal as "one step closer to justice." Link to decision;

STORY: "One step closer to justice" published by the Arson Project on April 27, 2012.

GIST: "Yesterday, April 26th, Judge Seng released his opinion in the case of George Souliotes, determining that Souliotes deserves a chance to appeal his conviction of an arson and triple murder conviction stemming from a 1997 trial that was overflowing with junk arson science, an unreliable witness identification and a chemical analysis tying a chemical found on the floor of the fire building to Souliotes’ shoes, now having been proven to be incorrect......... Judge Seng’s scathing 99-page opinion debunks each area of the state’s evidence, and still leaves room to discuss the ethics violation of the state’s expert witness, John DeHaan (pages 31 and 32)."
