Lindy Chamberlain: The (official) truth at last; "32 years on... a dingo did steal her baby," Tony Eastley. ABC; Plus interview with Ms. Chamberlain.

STORY: "Thirty-two years on...a dingo did steal her baby," by reporter Tony Eastley, ABC News, published on June 13, 2012.

GIST: "There was of course anecdotal evidence available at the time that pointed to babies or children being taken by dingoes, but the evidence wasn't written down, it was in ancient languages that were no good in a court which relied so heavily on English law precedent. Instead the court and the jury heard about "modern" forensic evidence that linked Lindy Chamberlain to the death of her baby. Evidence, some of which was highly questionable at the time and some of which went un-tested. Other evidence was later discredited."
