Rodricus Crawford: Part 22; His fate - indeed, his life - is now in the hands of seven justices of the Supreme Court of Louisiana. Judgment was reserved after approximately one and a half hours of oral argument....Publisher's view: "My personal hope is that the Supreme Court justices will not return Rodricus into the hands of the prosecutors who have demonstrated such a bloodthirsty, vengeful drive to kill this innocent young man who is still trying to grieve the death of his young son. Instead, I hope that the Supreme Court of Louisiana will declare Rodricus Crawford "actually innocent" - and order his immediate release. Prosecutor Dale Cox and his ilk be damned." HL);

MEMORABLE QUOTE: Lawyer Cecilia Kappel to the seven judges of the  Louisana Supreme Court hearing Rodicrus Crawford's appeal (Wednesday September 7): "This case is an extraordinary miscarriage of justice and this Court has the opportunity to right (it);

PUBLISHER'S VIEW(Editorial): "I was informed earlier today  that the Louisiana Supreme Court had reserved Judgment on Rodricus' appeal after about 90 minutes of oral argument. Most significantly, I am told that the prosecutors vehemently pursued the death penalty  for Rodricrus  - even though a mass of experts in their respective fields concluded that 1-year-old Roderius had died of pneumonia and related sepsis - and had not, as the prosecution  (based on a disputed pathologist's report) been smothered to death. My personal hope is that the Supreme Court  justices will not return Rodricus into the hands of the prosecutors who have demonstrated such a  bloodthirsty, vengeful drive to kill this innocent young man,who is still trying to grieve the death of his young son. Instead, I hope that the Court will declare Rodricus Crawford "actually innocent" - and order his immediate release. Prosecutor Dale Cox and his ilk be damned.
